Escape From Tarkov

EFT poster
Escape From Tarkov was released as a closed alpha on August 4 2026 by BattleState Games. It is only available for Windows on PC and is currently available as an extended beta.

This game is an unforgiving tactical first person extraction based shooter. I have always grown up playing FPS games and in the majority of those games when you die you respawn and continue to play with your same weapons with the only penalty being your score in the game. With EFT (Escape From Tarkov) when you die during a raid you lose all the juicy loot you found while playing in that specific raid and all the gear you came in with. The rush of playing a game with real risks makes it all the more exciting and immersive especially when playing with friends. When playing with friends you must be careful where you shoot because friendly fire is ALWAYS on and there is no marker to identify teammates so it makes for a more realistic experience.

Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim was released on November 11 2011 on all platforms and is the 5th installment of the Elder Scrolls series of games.

Elder Scrolls is a series that has released some of the best RPG games of all time. When Skyrim released it was a worldwide phenominon and as a 13 year old who just got her first Playstation it was truly a life changing experience. I had never played a role-playing game before and when I picked up the controller to play the game I didn't put it down until I had 1,556 hours in the game. Not only is the story amazing but the world building had me addicted. I have been chasing the high this game gave me for the last 14 years and I fear I will not find it again...

Mario Party 2

Mario Party 2 was first released on December 17 1999 for the Nintendo 64 in Japan. It later had its North American release on January 24 2000.

Mario Party 2 was the first video game I ever played so it has a special place in my heart. I was roughly 4 years old and my brother had neglected his Nintendo 64 for a Playstation 2. He made a deal that he would finally let me play with the N64 as long as I didn't touch his PS2. As a result I immediately grabbed the dusty Mario Party 2 cartridge, blow into the catridge to clear out the dust and plug that bad boy in. Everytime my cousins would come over for a sleepover we would huddle around the TV and take turns playing for hours on end. My best childhood memories were built on this game and it holds a special place in my heart because of that.
